As a proud Biripi / Bundjalung woman who has grown up in Redfern in the 70s & 80s and subsequently built a successful career in the health industry, I have learnt to value the role of effective education surrounded by guiding role models.  This combination can produce a profound impact on a young Indigenous’ s professional development and life.

At Yalgan Group I strive to connect with the Indigenous youth, I have walked in their shoes and can show them what is possible with the right attitude and support around them.  We can truly make a difference.

 Supporting Experiences & Qualifications:

  • Aboriginal Children Services lead in Redfern with responsibility for key initiatives including the annual Christmas drive.

  • Support to the Elders from land council, being a member of Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council.

Steven Quach

Steven is a seasoned professional with 6 years of expertise in the construction industry, spanning residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. His passion lies in alterations and additions projects, where he has honed his skills to deliver outstanding results. With a strong technical foundation, he pursued tertiary studies in engineering and commerce, enriching his knowledge and prowess.

Throughout his career, Steven has established a reputable background in structural engineering and infrastructure procurement, contributing to the successful realization of numerous projects. Notably, he played a pivotal role in the construction of PCYC Walgett, a significant development in rural NSW with a focus on empowering the indigenous community. Additionally, he actively participated in other PCYC ventures, including those in Wagga Wagga and Hawkesbury, further showcasing his commitment to community-centric initiatives. Steven's dedication and expertise continue to drive the construction industry forward, leaving a lasting impact on every project he undertakes.
