Modern, compliant canteen refurbishment built for safety, durability and daily performance.
Yalgan Group delivered a comprehensive canteen refurbishment tailored to meet current Council and educational facility standards, significantly enhancing functionality, safety, and long-term durability. The project commenced with a full internal demolition, including the removal of outdated cabinetry, floor finishes, and service infrastructure. Select appliances were carefully retained and integrated into the new layout, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining operational continuity.
The upgrade incorporated new hydraulic and gas services, internal drainage, hot water systems, and fully compliant plumbing fixtures to support daily operational demands. Electrical improvements included a switchboard upgrade, RCD protection, energy-efficient LED lighting, dedicated appliance circuits, general power outlets, and mechanical exhaust systems. All systems were thoroughly tested and commissioned to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant performance.
The fitout was completed with commercial-grade vinyl flooring featuring coved finishes for improved hygiene and durability, stainless steel benching and splashbacks, upgraded doors and hardware, and new shelving and storage solutions. Additional enhancements included suspended ceilings, improved security and fire safety provisions, and a full internal repaint. The result is a modern, compliant, and highly functional canteen facility designed to perform efficiently within a high-use educational environment for years to come.
Le projet architectural développe une figure urbaine à la fois lisible, poreuse, unifiée et fragmentée. Il articule des volumes bâtis et paysagers qui dialoguent entre eux pour favoriser le vivre-ensemble. L’organisation spatiale repose sur un socle commun regroupant commerces, locaux techniques et annexes, sur lequel reposent quatre volumes de logements distincts mais similaires. Cette structure crée une continuité entre de l’ilôt tout en introduisant une diversité de formes urbaines.
