Northmead Public School - Shed and BBQ Facility

Built enclosed shed with BBQ, services and compliant outdoor learning space.
This project involved the supply and construction of a new enclosed shed structure integrated with a purpose-built BBQ facility, designed to complement and connect seamlessly with the existing building. The structure was carefully planned to provide a durable and practical outdoor environment.
Works included installation of structural framing fixed to the existing building, construction of a gable roof with compliant stormwater connections, internal wall linings, lighting, and secure access doors. Each element was delivered in accordance with relevant building standards and project specifications.
The internal fit-out featured stainless steel benches, a sink with hot and cold water services, mechanical ventilation, and weatherproof electrical fittings. The completed facility provides a functional, safe, and compliant outdoor learning and recreational space.
Le projet architectural développe une figure urbaine à la fois lisible, poreuse, unifiée et fragmentée. Il articule des volumes bâtis et paysagers qui dialoguent entre eux pour favoriser le vivre-ensemble. L’organisation spatiale repose sur un socle commun regroupant commerces, locaux techniques et annexes, sur lequel reposent quatre volumes de logements distincts mais similaires. Cette structure crée une continuité entre de l’ilôt tout en introduisant une diversité de formes urbaines.
