(In Progress) Stage rebuilt with accessible ramp and stairs to meet safety and compliance standards.

This project involves the modification of the existing gymnasium stage and the construction of a new accessible ramp and stair structure to enhance functionality and compliance. Works commenced with the demolition of the existing stage and stair elements, followed by reconstruction of the stage to a revised finished floor level to better suit operational and accessibility requirements. A full-length storage void was incorporated beneath the stage, complete with heavy-duty access doors to the front elevation for practical and secure equipment storage.

The upgrade includes installation of new hardwood tongue-and-groove flooring with compliant finishing systems to ensure durability and performance in a high-use school environment. A timber-framed accessible ramp and stair structure has been constructed to provide safe and equitable access, supported by non-slip floor coverings and tactile indicators to improve safety and usability for all occupants.

All balustrades and handrails have been installed in accordance with current compliance standards, ensuring structural integrity and user safety. The works are being delivered in full accordance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA), AS 1428.1, EFSG requirements, and relevant Australian Standards, providing a compliant, accessible, and long-lasting outcome tailored to the needs of the school community.
